Our Story
Having shot over 300 hours of footage while riding a motorbike around the Himalayan mountains with his brother Mike, Velapp Founder David de Min was frustrated about how many weeks it took to edit.
At that moment, inspiration struck and the world’s most natural video editing system was born. When you like what you see, you press harder on the 3D touch screen. Just like memories you always remember the best parts, which is how Velapp works.
Velapp’s patent pending technology runs on your iPhone and is so intuitive that you already know how to use it. Once you’ve finished shooting, you choose how long the final video should be, press ‘Go’ and your edited video is ready to email, WhatsApp or share on social media.
By far the best use of 3D touch I’ve ever seen

What an amazing concept!”

We’ve seen cool technology, but this is in that category of insanely great. I’ve never seen such a quantum leap in taking a complex technology and making it so simple you just start to giggle with sheer unadulterated joy.”
Gordon Clyne
this will save me hours of editing!
James Bannister
I can see this as being a standard part of every filming device

I’ve checked out Velapp and it seems like a very necessary tech of today. Especially for travellers and tourists who seem to accumulate tons of visual data none of which is viewable

Described by Apple gurus as “an amazing piece of technology”, Velapp is the brainchild of Founder and CEO David de Min. Originally a video production professional, the idea came to him after a holiday touring the Himalayas on a vintage motorbike. Looking at the 300 hours of footage he’d shot made David wish that you could edit AS you shoot… and Velapp was born. This app is the first in a new generation of revolutionary products that David is planning to release.
